02/11/08 - (Events & Trade Shows) UMC Exhibits at Gulf South Rotating Symposium
UMC Automation & Compression is pleased to announce that it will be attending the Gulf South Rotating Machinery Symposium in Batorn Rouge, La. This event is held March 3rd - 5th and features the top manufacturers of gas compressors in the world.

03/01/07 - (Product News) UMC Gains ASME Accreditation
UMC Automation & Compression is proud to announce that company has received the acceditation from the ASME Board for the "U" and "R" Stamps.

These certifications authorize and solidify UMC's capabilities and quality control procedures to engineer, build, and repair ASME Code vessels, tanks, and separators.

UMC President Thomas Gentry stated, "We have worked diligently within this market over the past year, and this falls right into our expansion plan to be establish UMC as a leader within this industry by the middle of 2007."

UMC specializes in building small to mid-range vessels, tanks, and separators while also providing first-class repair facilities.

UMC Automation & Compression is slated to be featured in a number of media articles over the next 60-days.

The seletion for these articles is a direct reflect of UMC's market resurgence and leadership over the past year.

Look for UMC to be featured in the Permian Basin Petroleum Association (PBPA) Monthly Newsletter, Compressor Tech Two as a "Mover and Shaker" for 2007, RF Design as a focus story on the new technoligcal advances UMC has launched over the past several months that utilize cutting edge technology, as well as the American Oil & Gas Reporter referencing LACT technology.

10/20/06 - (Company News) UMC General Manager Named President
UMC Automation & Compression General Manager Thomas Gentry was named President of the company during a meeting on Monday.



Mr. Gentry has been with UMC since the end of 2004, and has been heavily involved with the company's restructuring and resurgence back into the domestic and international markets. Further, Mr. Gentry has been heavily involved in the Engineering and Project Management in a number of domestic and international packages as well as heading up all international sales efforts.


"I am honored and truly proud of the team that we have developed over the past (2) years here at UMC. It is really great to say that we have compiled one of, if not the most, experienced teams within our industry. We have come a long way, but still have a long way to go to be where we want to be. I feel privleged to have the opportunity to lead the company into the future as we seek to achieve these goals." Gentry said.



Mr. Gentry stepped into his new position just one day before the Permian Basin International Oil Show which Mr. Gentry called a great success.



Looking into the future, Mr. Gentry stated, "UMC has a number of new endeavors on the horizon including the receipt of our new ASME stamp which will spring us into new markets and a further diversification of our business. Through all of this, the team at UMC will continue to excel and provide great benefits to all of our customers."

UMC Automation & Compression, an industry leader in the vapor recovery and compression field is pleased to announce our sponsorship of the largest vapor recovery and compression seminar ever to be held in the Permian Basin.







This seminar will be held concurrently with the Permian Basin International Oil Show on October 17, 2006 at the MCM Grande Hotel located at 6701 E. Business 20 in Odessa, Texas. 05/22/06 - (Company News) UMC Vapor Recovery Article Appears in the May Issue of the American Oil & Gas Reporter
The American Oil & Gas Reporter's May issue on Gas Compression Technology features a UMC written story focusing on the economics of vapor recovery units.
UMC was chosen to write the article after the company was noticed as one of the faster-moving companies in the compression and vapor recovery industry.

The Vapor Recovery article co-authored by UMC's General Manager, Thomas Gentry, and Houston-Based Murex Petroleum's Sr. Petroleum Engineer, Dustin Faulkner, focuses on the the economic advantage of vapor recovery systems.

05/01/06 - (Product News) UMC Named Sole Domestic Distributor for Utile Compressors
The Great Britain based Utile Engineering Company has named UMC Automation & Compression as their sole distributing agent in the United States and Russia.

Utile manufactures top-of-the-line rotary vane compressors that are installed throughout the world.

Utile General Director Tim Poole stated, "UMC had a solid plan moving forward and a new direction that provides Utile with the best opportunity to succeed in a mutually beneficial forum."

UMC will be working toward establishing domestic distributors throughout the U.S. to make the Utile compressor readily available in many regions of the U.S..

04/22/06 - (Company News) American Oil & Gas Reporter invites UMC to write an expert article on Vapor Recovery
Editors at the American Oil & Gas Reporter have invited UMC Automation & Compression to offer their expertise in an article scheduled to appear in the May, 2006 issue.

The article will be featured in the Gas Compression Technology portion of the magazine. 04/02/06 - (Company News) UMC Announces Promotion of Dickie Brown to Operations Supervisor
UMC Automation & Compression is pleased to announce the promotion of Mr. Dickie Brown to Operations Supervisor.

Mr. Brown will be promoted from his current position of Applications Engineer and Project Manager. Mr. Brown has over 20 years of experience in the design and fabrication of LACT and VRU systems.

UMC General Manager Thomas Gentry stated, "Dickie has displayed all of the attirbutes that will insure his success in this new position. We are pleased to have him as a member of our management team and I geatly look forward to working with him much more closely in his new role."

12/19/05 - (Company News) Russian Engineers Attend Training at UMC
UMC Automation & Compression hosted (4) engineers and their interpreter December 3rd - 10th. The group came from TATEX, a Russian company in Tartarstan.

During their training, the engineers studied new and innovative devices to be utilized on vapor recovery units. The engineers also spent a large portion of their time gaining knowledge on UMC's new automation products and capabilities.

President & CEO of UMC Automation and Compression Jim Waldroop stated, "This school was really a turning point for us in regards to our Russian business and we knew it had to be top notch"

During their time at UMC, the attendees were involved in classes hosted by companies from England and the United States.
